Knocknacarra Educate Together Start Up is a group of parents who are working with Educate Together to open an Educate Together National School in Knocknacarra, Galway. The group has been set up in response to a decision made by the Department of Education & Skills to open a new national school in Knocknacarra, in September 2014
Educate Together schools offer co-educational, child centred, multi-denominational and democratically run educational opportunity to children right across the country. Currently, there are approximately 13,000 students in a rapidly expanding network of 60 schools, the nearest of which are in Newcastle (in Galway City), Claregalway & Kilcolgan.
